Lip filler is hyaluronic acid, a gel made from a sugar your body already produces, placed into and around the lip to restore or refine shape. Lip products are softer and more flexible than those used for the cheeks or jaw, because the lip moves constantly and deserves a gel that moves with it.
We think of lip filler as a shaping treatment first. What truly changes how a mouth looks is proportion: the balance of upper lip to lower, the definition of the vermilion border, the shape of the cupid's bow, how much upper lip shows at rest, and whether the corners turn up or down.
When the proportion is right, a quarter of a syringe can make a beautiful difference. That's why every plan starts with a careful look at your features, then adds only what they need.
Lip filler is priced per syringe, and many patients need less than a full one. We're happy to place half and keep the rest for your two-week review, so you pay for what's placed. Your consultation, lip mapping and review are complimentary, and there is no minimum.

Naturally thin lips, whether from genetics or age-related deflation. Here volume is the goal, placed to keep your natural shape so the result looks soft and balanced.
A lip with good volume but a soft, blurred border. Defining the vermilion border brings crispness to the whole mouth with very little product, and it's one of our favorite subtle treatments.
The two peaks of the upper lip. Restoring them lifts the center of the mouth and gives the impression of more lip without adding meaningful volume.
How much upper lip shows at rest. Often best improved with a lip flip, or a small amount of both.
Corners that turn down at rest can make a face look tired. We may support them with filler, relax the depressor muscle, or combine the two.
Nearly every mouth has some natural asymmetry, and a little is part of your character. We refine just enough to bring balance.
Fine vertical lines above the upper lip. We use a very soft filler placed superficially, often paired with a few units of neuromodulator and, when helpful, resurfacing.
Lips with a lovely shape that feel dry or look lined. A soft, hydrating hyaluronic acid improves texture and the way lips catch the light, without changing their size.
More gum showing than you'd like when you smile broadly. This comes from muscle movement, so a few units of neuromodulator is the right treatment here, rather than filler.
Filler that has moved above the border or built up over the years. We gently dissolve it, let the tissue settle for two to four weeks, then rebuild only if you'd like us to.

Small deposits are placed within the lip body and along the border in the correct plane. This precise technique keeps filler where it's intended and your lip line smooth and defined.
We pause and hand you a mirror while there is still product left. Lip filler is a conversation, and you decide whether to add more before the syringe is finished.
Lips swell for two to three days and settle over two weeks, so that's when we look at the result together. If a little more would help, we add it at your review.

Lip filler is visible immediately and swells for the first 24 to 72 hours, often looking fuller than your planned result. Swelling settles over about a week and your final shape appears at two weeks. Lip filler typically lasts 6 to 12 months.
Planning around an event? Allow at least three weeks, ideally four. This gives swelling time to settle and leaves room for your two-week review before the date.
Migration is filler moving out of the lip body and settling above the vermilion border, which can create a soft ledge or shadow that reads as puffiness rather than fullness. It's largely preventable with careful technique: placing product in the correct plane, respecting the lip border, using a conservative amount of filler, and timing top-ups so the previous treatment has cleared. These principles guide every lip treatment at KORA. If you already have migrated filler, it can be gently dissolved, and we can rebuild once the tissue has settled.
A lip flip is four to six units of neuromodulator at the upper lip border. It relaxes the muscle that curls the lip inward, so the lip rolls gently outward and shows more, without adding any volume. It suits people whose upper lip seems to disappear when they smile, or who'd like more lip show without more fullness. It lasts around three months and is a more affordable starting point than a syringe. Filler adds real volume and structure and lasts six to twelve months. If you'd like more lip, that's filler. If you'd like more visible lip, a flip may be the lovely, subtle answer, and we'll help you choose at your consultation.
Lip injections can reactivate herpes simplex in anyone who carries it, and many people do without realizing. An outbreak after lip filler is uncomfortable, can delay your result and occasionally affects healing. If you have ever had a cold sore, even once, years ago, just let us know at your consultation. We'll prescribe antiviral cover to start before your appointment, which very reliably prevents it. It's one of the most helpful things you can share before a lip appointment.
Lip fillers differ in softness, flexibility, how much water they attract and how much they lift. A soft, low-swell gel offers hydration and gentle definition, and moves naturally with a mouth that is always in motion. A slightly firmer gel holds a defined border or supports a lip that has naturally deflated. Firmer structural fillers are designed for the cheeks and jaw, so we keep them there. Our nurse practitioners work closely with Restylane Kysse and Revanesse Lips and will select the gel that best suits your lips at your consultation.
This is a helpful question to explore before you book. A lip flip adds visible lip without volume and is a more affordable starting point. Filler adds real volume and structure. Vertical lines above the lip call for a different approach again. And if you already have filler you'd like to change, dissolving comes first.

Lip filler at KORA starts at $650 per syringe. Most patients need one syringe or less, and there is no minimum. Half a syringe is a perfectly normal treatment, and you pay for what's placed.
A lip flip at KORA is a $100 flat fee (4 to 6 units). It gives more upper-lip show without adding volume and lasts about three months.
Six to twelve months. Lips move constantly and metabolize filler faster than static areas such as the cheeks or jaw, so lip results fade a little sooner than filler in other areas of the face.
Lips swell more than other areas of the face. Swelling peaks at 24 to 72 hours, and lips can look noticeably fuller than your planned result. It settles over about a week, with your final shape at two weeks.
Lips are the most sensitive area we treat, but topical numbing for 15 to 20 minutes and lidocaine within the filler itself make it very manageable. Most patients describe pressure rather than sharp pain.
At least three weeks, ideally four. Swelling needs about a week to settle, and a two-week review window leaves time for any refinement before the day.
Our goal is always a soft, natural result that still looks like you. We assess proportion before volume, use the right amount of product, place it in the correct plane, and time top-ups so the previous filler has cleared. Half a syringe, thoughtfully placed, often looks best.

Screen-reader optimization: we run a background process that learns the website’s components from top to bottom, to ensure ongoing compliance even when updating the website. In this process, we provide screen-readers with meaningful data using the ARIA set of attributes. For example, we provide accurate form labels; descriptions for actionable icons (social media icons, search icons, cart icons, etc.); validation guidance for form inputs; element roles such as buttons, menus, modal dialogues (popups), and others. Additionally, the background process scans all the website’s images and provides an accurate and meaningful image-object-recognition-based description as an ALT (alternate text) tag for images that are not described.
