What is hyperhidrosis?
Hyperhidrosis is sweating beyond what the body needs to cool itself. Primary hyperhidrosis often begins in the teens or twenties and commonly affects the underarms, palms or feet, without another medical cause.
Sweating that starts suddenly, happens mainly at night or comes with other symptoms should be checked by your physician first, as it can have an underlying cause.
