Katie is in a class of her own as an injector. I have been seeing her for over 5 years. She never 'sells' me on anything nor do I have to worry about looking over-done or about safety. She's an artist and a scientist! I am 38yo and look better than I did at 25yo because of her advising me on skincare and injections. I also wear less make-up than I ever did before. This has been an investment but one I'd NEVER regret; it's been life changing.

Juvéderm in Scottsdale
six gels, one tailored plan
Juvéderm is a family of gels, each designed for a different area of the face: cheek, jaw, lip and fold. For Juvéderm in Scottsdale, we begin with a thoughtful consultation and select the right formulation for each area, so your result looks refined and natural.

A collection of gels,
each with its own purpose
Juvéderm is a family of fillers. Made by Allergan, each hyaluronic acid gel is designed with its own cross-linking, firmness, lift capacity and flexibility. Those qualities guide where a gel belongs, and matching the gel to the area is one of the keys to a natural-looking result.
A firm, high-lift gel like Voluma is designed to sit on bone and gently project a cheek. A soft, low-swell gel like Volbella is made for the lips and the fine lines around them. Volux is the firmest of the family and the first hyaluronic acid filler FDA-approved specifically for jawline definition. Each gel performs beautifully in the area it was designed for, which is why we choose them with such care.
All of them contain lidocaine, all are reversible with hyaluronidase, and each lasts a different length of time, from around a year in the lips to up to two years in the cheek and jaw, because areas that move often metabolize filler faster than areas that stay still.
- ✓A family of six gels, each designed for a specific area
- ✓Reversible, since all of them are hyaluronic acid
- ✓Formulated with lidocaine, so treatment is comfortable
- ✓Long-lasting in static areas, shorter in mobile ones
- ✕One product for every area of the face
- ✕A treatment for movement lines (that's Botox or Dysport)
- ✕The only option; KORA also carries Restylane and Revanesse
- ✕A whole-face collagen stimulator (that's Sculptra)
By the syringe,
tailored to your plan
Juvéderm starts at $650 per syringe at KORA, and the price varies slightly by formulation. Voluma and Volux sit higher because they are designed to lift and last longer. At your consultation we map your face, explain which gel suits each area and how many syringes you'll need, and share your total before treatment begins. There is no minimum and no package.
Price varies by formulation. Voluma, Volux and Vollure sit above Ultra and Volbella.
Finding the right
Juvéderm for you
Six formulations, each designed for a different area of the face. Here's a quick guide to how they differ; at your consultation, we'll recommend the right one for you.
Voluma XC
The firmest lifting gel in the family, designed to sit deep on the cheekbone and restore midface projection. Supporting the cheek often softens the folds below it, without treating those folds directly.
Volux XC
The firmest formulation Juvéderm makes, and the first hyaluronic acid filler FDA-approved specifically for jawline definition. Designed to hold a crisp, defined jawline through everyday movement.
Vollure XC
A balanced gel with the flexibility for an area that moves each time you speak, and the support to soften a deeper fold. Often paired with cheek support for the most natural result.
Volbella XC
Soft, low-swell and low-volume. Designed for subtle lip definition, hydration and the fine vertical lines above the upper lip, with little change in size.
Ultra XC
More volume than Volbella with a softer feel than the structural gels. A lovely choice when you'd like fuller lips as well as definition.
Ultra Plus XC
A firmer version of Ultra for deeper nasolabial folds and areas that benefit from a little more support.
Skinvive
A skin booster rather than a volumizer. Micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid are placed within the skin to improve cheek smoothness and hydration. FDA-approved in 2023.
Chin & temples
Both are often treated with Voluma or Volux, depending on how much projection is needed. A well-balanced chin brings harmony to the whole profile, so we always assess it thoughtfully.
Matching each gel
to your anatomy
Before treatment begins, our nurse practitioners follow a careful assessment. It keeps your result soft, balanced and natural-looking.
We identify where volume has changed
Facial fat sits in distinct compartments that change at different rates. We look closely at which areas have lost volume, since the best place to treat is sometimes a little away from where you notice the change.
We assess how much lift is needed
Deep structural support on bone calls for a firm, high-lift gel. Delicate work in areas that move calls for a soft, flexible one. This assessment guides which formulation we choose.
We account for movement
A jaw and a lip move constantly; a temple barely moves at all. Gels that hold their shape suit the jaw, and gels that flex suit the lip. Matching the two keeps your expressions soft and natural.
We choose cannula or needle
A blunt cannula gently moves vessels aside and is our choice in the temples, midface and tear trough. A needle offers precision on bone and at the lip border. We select each based on your anatomy.
Settling over two weeks
Hyaluronic acid binds water, so the area swells a little and then settles. The gel integrates with the surrounding tissue over about two weeks, when your result is final and we see you for your review.
Thirty to sixty minutes,
and back to your day
Facial assessment and mapping
We look at your face in three dimensions and at rest, considering projection, proportion, symmetry and profile, then plan which formulation goes where. If another treatment would suit you better, we'll recommend it here.
Your plan and total, agreed first
Which gels, how many syringes, where, and your total. Treatment begins only once you're comfortable with the plan.
Numbing
Topical anesthetic for 15 to 20 minutes. Every Juvéderm XC formulation contains lidocaine, so you'll feel more comfortable as treatment progresses.
Placement
Cannula or needle, depending on the area. You'll be seated upright and shown a mirror partway through, so you're part of every decision.
Aftercare and your two-week review
Ice, arnica if you bruise easily, and written aftercare. Your complimentary review is booked at two weeks, when swelling has resolved and your result is final.
Juvéderm
before and after

Individual results vary. All photographs are of KORA patients, unretouched, in identical lighting and framing, shared with written consent.
Juvéderm timeline, day by day
Juvéderm results are visible immediately, with some swelling for several days. Swelling resolves within about a week and your final result settles at two weeks. Duration varies by formulation: up to 1 year for lips with Volbella or Ultra, and up to 2 years for cheeks and jawline with Voluma or Volux.
Planning for an event? Allow four weeks. Filler can bruise more than neuromodulators, and this leaves time for your review before the date.
Choosing the right gel
at your consultation
KORA carries several premium filler families, including Juvéderm, Restylane and Revanesse, so your plan can draw on the full range. At your consultation, our nurse practitioners assess each area of your face, from cheek and jaw to lips and folds, and select the gel whose firmness, lift and flexibility best suit that area and your goals. Often that's Voluma or Volux. In other areas a Restylane or Revanesse gel may be the better fit, and we'll explain why. You'll leave knowing exactly which formulation is planned for each area and the reasoning behind it.
- ✓Juvéderm, Restylane and Revanesse
- ✓Formulation matched to each area
- ✓Your plan explained before treatment
Skinvive, for
smoother, hydrated skin
Skinvive is a different kind of Juvéderm treatment, and it's worth understanding before you book. Micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid are placed intradermally, into the skin itself rather than beneath it, to improve smoothness, hydration and the way your cheeks reflect light. It adds no structure or lift. FDA-approved in 2023, it lasts around six months and suits patients whose main goal is skin quality rather than facial volume. If you'd like fuller cheeks, Voluma is the better choice, and we'll help you decide at your consultation.
- ✓Intradermal skin booster
- ✓Improves smoothness and hydration
- ✓About 6 months, with no added lift
Reversible, and treated
with medical care
Every Juvéderm formulation is hyaluronic acid, which means every one can be dissolved with hyaluronidase within days. That reversibility is reassuring, and it's one reason hyaluronic acid fillers are so widely used. As with any medical procedure, filler does carry some risk. The most serious complication is vascular occlusion, when product enters or presses on a vessel. It's rare, and it's time-sensitive, so it's managed promptly with hyaluronidase by a clinician who recognizes it right away. We use blunt cannulas in the most delicate areas, aspirate where a needle is used, and keep hyaluronidase on site at every appointment.
- ✓Fully reversible with hyaluronidase
- ✓Cannula technique in temple, midface and tear trough
- ✓Hyaluronidase on site at every appointment
Why lips clear faster
than cheeks
Many patients notice their lips have softened by eight months while their cheeks still look full after eighteen. That's completely normal. Hyaluronic acid is broken down faster in tissue that moves often and has a richer blood supply, and a lip moves thousands of times a day while a cheekbone barely moves at all. Formulation plays a role too: Voluma and Volux are more heavily cross-linked so they hold up longer in the areas where longevity matters most. When you're weighing formulations, it helps to think about cost per year as well as cost per syringe.
Juvéderm or another treatment?
Juvéderm and Restylane are both excellent hyaluronic acid families, and each includes gels suited to particular areas and depths. Sculptra works differently, building your own collagen gradually. Botox relaxes movement and adds no volume. The most helpful first question is whether your concern is volume, collagen or movement, and we'll answer it together at your consultation.

What Scottsdale says about filler at KORA
How to prep & what to do after
Start about a week ahead
- Book at least four weeks before any event. Filler can bruise more than neuromodulators, and this leaves time for your review before the date.
- If medically appropriate and cleared by your physician, stop blood thinners, NSAIDs, fish oil, vitamin E and alcohol 48 hours ahead.
- Tell us about every medication and supplement, and about any history of cold sores if your lips are being treated. We may prescribe antiviral cover.
- Reschedule if you have an active skin infection, or a dental procedure within two weeks either side.
- Eat beforehand. Having a meal first helps you avoid feeling light-headed.
- Come with a clean face if possible, and expect to be photographed for your record.
- Let us know if you are pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, as we'll postpone treatment.
The first 48 hours matter most
- Ice intermittently for the first 24 hours, 10 minutes on and 10 off. Sleep with your head elevated for two nights.
- Do not massage or press the area unless we have specifically shown you how.
- No strenuous exercise for 48 hours, since raised blood pressure can increase swelling and bruising.
- Avoid heat for 48 hours: sauna, hot tub, hot yoga, sun beds.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 to 48 hours.
- Some lumps and asymmetry are normal in the first few days. This is swelling, and it settles.
- No dental work or facials for two weeks.
- Please call us right away for blanching or white patches, escalating or disproportionate pain, dusky or mottled skin, or any change in vision.
Juvéderm questions, thoughtfully answered
Basics
What is Juvéderm?+
Juvéderm is a family of hyaluronic acid dermal fillers made by Allergan. There are six formulations, each designed with its own firmness and lift for a different area of the face.
Which Juvéderm is right for me?+
It depends on the area you'd like to treat. Voluma for cheeks, Volux for jawline, Vollure for nasolabial folds, Volbella for lips and fine perioral lines, Ultra for lip volume, and Skinvive for skin quality rather than volume. We select the right one at your consultation, based on your anatomy.
How long does Juvéderm last?+
It varies by formulation and by how much the area moves. Volbella and Ultra in the lips last up to about a year; Vollure in the folds up to eighteen months; Voluma in the cheeks and Volux in the jawline up to two years.
Cost
How much does Juvéderm cost in Scottsdale?+
Juvéderm at KORA starts at $650 per syringe, and the price varies by formulation. Voluma and Volux sit above Ultra or Volbella because they are designed to lift and last up to two years. We confirm the formulation and your total at consultation.
How many syringes will I need?+
Most first treatments use one to two. Structural jawline work with Volux can take two to four. We take a conservative approach on a first visit and add at your two-week review if needed.
Products
What is the difference between Voluma and Volbella?+
Voluma is firm and heavily cross-linked, designed to sit deep on bone and project a cheek for up to two years. Volbella is soft, low-swell and low-volume, designed for subtle lip definition and fine lines. Each is chosen for a very different area.
What is Skinvive?+
Skinvive is a Juvéderm skin booster. Micro-droplets of hyaluronic acid are placed into the skin itself to improve smoothness and hydration in the cheeks. It adds no volume or lift, lasts around six months, and was FDA-approved in 2023.
Is Juvéderm better than Restylane?+
Both are excellent families, and each contains gels that suit particular areas especially well. KORA carries Juvéderm, Restylane and Revanesse, and we select the best gel for each area of your face at your consultation.
Treatment
Does Juvéderm hurt?+
Most patients find it very comfortable. We apply topical numbing for 15 to 20 minutes, and every Juvéderm XC formulation contains lidocaine, so comfort improves as treatment progresses. Lips are the most sensitive area.
Safety
Can Juvéderm be dissolved?+
Yes. Every formulation is hyaluronic acid and can be dissolved with hyaluronidase within days. We can adjust or dissolve previous filler, including work done by another provider, and rebuild once the tissue has settled.
Is Juvéderm safe?+
Hyaluronic acid fillers have a long safety record and are reversible. The most serious risk is vascular occlusion, which is rare, time-sensitive and managed with hyaluronidase. We use blunt cannulas in the most delicate areas and keep hyaluronidase on site at every appointment.
Who should not have Juvéderm?+
We don't treat anyone who is pregnant, trying to conceive or breastfeeding, anyone with an active skin infection at the site, anyone with a known allergy to hyaluronic acid or lidocaine, or anyone with certain autoimmune conditions. We screen carefully for all of these.
Results
Will Juvéderm make me look overfilled?+
Our goal is always a soft, natural result. A careful assessment matters most: filler looks its best when placed at the right depth and used to restore volume rather than to lift loose skin. We assess skin laxity separately, and if another treatment would suit you better, we'll recommend it.
Location
Do you treat patients from Paradise Valley?+
Yes, often. Our clinic is on 69th Street just south of Shea, inside Scottsdale and a few hundred yards from the Paradise Valley boundary, usually a five to ten minute drive from most of PV.
Where in Scottsdale are you located?+
10505 N 69th Street, Suite 1300, Scottsdale, AZ 85253, at 69th Street just south of Shea Boulevard, with free private parking. We are appointment only.

A full facial assessment, the right formulation selected for each area, and your total shared upfront. If another treatment would suit you better, we'll guide you to it.
Not sure which Juvéderm you need?
That's what the consultation is for. We'll assess your face, identify which of the six formulations suits each area, and explain our recommendation.
Worried about looking overfilled?
We take a conservative approach on a first visit and add at your complimentary two-week review. If your concern is loose skin rather than lost volume, we'll recommend a treatment better suited to it.
Wondering how pricing works?
Juvéderm starts at $650 per syringe and varies by formulation. Voluma lasts roughly twice as long as Volbella and is priced accordingly. Your plan names each gel and your total.
Unhappy with previous filler?
We can help. Every Juvéderm gel dissolves with hyaluronidase. We assess what's there, dissolve if needed, and rebuild once the tissue settles.
